I'm all about simplicity, AND having fun in the summer with my kids! Today I wanted something cool and quick to make for the kids, so I grabbed the blender, some straws and cups, then blended some:
(It's best if you can use the blender to crush most of ice first, but honestly, I measured nothing :) these measurements I offered you were just to give you an idea of how much you needed to make this many servings.
If you don't have all of these ingredients, don't worry, smoothies are simple and often times you can just improvise with other yummy fruits and juices.
Frozen Blueberries
A Couple handfuls of Ice
Fresh strawberries
Fresh raspberries
2 TBLS of sugar
Some orange juice concentrate
About a 1/4 c water
~Serves 5
The responses to my quick concoction?...
"WOW!"
"Yummmmm!!!"
"PERFECT MOM!"
And, my super healthy eater added "it's good for us, too!"
