What 1 Word of Advice I Have for Parents

Someone who knows my children very well asked me last week what my parenting recipe is.

I rattled off a few things, and I have to say that honestly, it really was just a few things. I could write a book about my recipe (and I am), but if I only had one word of advice for all parents (of any age child) it would be this: balance.

It's valuable, it's controlling and it's freedom for the child at the same time. Most of all, it works. Remember that saying, "Set it free; if it comes back it's yours, if not, it never was"?

Balance is allowing them enough space to make them want to come back.
If you don't have it, they will run full speed in the opposite direction.

Want to know how to do it? Email me or comment on this post. I will give you tips on how to do this or answer your questions. No matter the age of your children... balance is key.

They have wings mom and dad, let them fly.
